From Our Family

Why We Chose It

When you have added kids to the family as often as we have, you start thinking hard about which baby gear will still be earning its keep three kids from now. Our old stroller was a single-seater that we outgrew the moment a second little one came along, and juggling a newborn and a toddler on a walk turned into a genuine logistics problem—one of us pushing, the other basically carrying a squirming passenger the whole loop.

The stroller we settled on is the UPPAbaby Vista V3, and it earned its spot by being about six strollers in one. It reclines flat like a pram for a newborn, which was perfect for the baby, then sits up as a toddler seat, and it expands to carry two when we need it to. With more than thirty configurations, it has quietly adapted through more than one of our kids instead of getting retired after a single season.

It is not the cheapest stroller we looked at, and we did consider some lighter, less expensive options. But those would have meant buying a whole new stroller every time our family situation shifted, and the math on that adds up fast. The Vista beat them on longevity—one well-built frame that keeps converting to whatever stage we are in—plus an XL basket that swallows a diaper bag and a grocery run, and suspension smooth enough for the baby to nap through a bumpy sidewalk. For a family that is always in some transition, a stroller that grows with us was easily worth it.
